Dharug Ngurra (Country) embraces the lands, waters and skies of the Sydney basin. Dharug Ngurra extends from the Blue Mountains in the west to the Sydney Coastline in the east and from Hawkesbury in the north to Appin and Georges River in the south.
Yanmala Cultural Education
For over ten years Yanmala has worked in the Western Sydney region educating and promoting Aboriginal Culture, specifically of the Dharug yiyura (people) and Dharug Ngurra (Country).
What We Do
Our programs are carefully designed through culturally safe practices and taught
first-hand by Aboriginal leaders. Participants will develop cognitive and practical skills through an authentic and sensory experience, while learning about the history and living culture of Aboriginal Australians.
